re: the future, I know that whatever is going to happen will happen, and no amount of worrying will change or forestall it. Until then I will do the best possible work I can with the students I’m committed to. Something will change; something will shift; something will open up, even if the future that arrives doesn’t look like the one I had envisioned or planned for. Four years ago I felt adrift and unsure about what my life would look like after graduation - but that ended up leading me to an opportunity I couldn’t have anticipated and didn’t even know to be on the lookout for. maybe that will happen again, or maybe it won’t, but either way: I am resilient enough, joyful enough, courageous enough to weather it.
