I've never realized how international my friend group is until that notorious survey asked who my friends are and gave me the choices of "Turkish, American and Muslim". Well, how about this: Today we are going to see a movie with some girls from the department, and that group includes a Brazilian, an Albanian, an Egyptian-American, a Greek, a Dutch-American, a Russian, a Spanish and me. That is not even the whole crowd, which usually has more variety :D And never had it occurred to me to ask about their religions (also, why would I? Who cares? Isn't it a private matter anyways?)
So much for your ethno-religious profiling, Dr. S., next time think harder and come up with better questions, please. We don't want IRB to involve in your research ever again.
