I need a shirt that says “I swear I’m not breaking into this house, I’m just their pet-sitter.” I had the realization the other day: I am missing about 2 hours out of my day, sometimes more just walking to the office with Poppy. It takes about a half hour one way from this house to the department and then starts the other pet duties. No wonder I feel like I’m struggling to get anything done! I love Poppy, though, I can't really complain about it. She decided to share the bed with me this morning and it was so adorable. I heard her coming and when she got in the room she rested her face on the bed to ask permission. She was so cute i couldn’t deny her if i wanted to. Aaaaaaand when i said scoot over she did!!!!!! Oh my! When Dr. K. is back from Europe, I'll be like "I’m sorry I can’t give you back your dog. We have become very close these last few months" :D I also like the part where A. and I pretend that we’re married and we have our own home, with a few pets. It puts everything into perspective and helps me decide what I want to do with my life. For instance, I always thought I'd grow up to be a crazy cat lady, but now I don't understand why people would even get cats. Like with dogs you can go for walks, go to the park, go to the pet store, go on road trips, go hiking, etc. but with cats there’s nothing to do. They are indifferent to my presence, and most of the time they just sigh and continue their business until they need affection, which is annoying. I’m obviously a dog person. | ||
