It really sickens me that we keep waking up to news with horribly violent a*holes and intolerance all over the world. How self-loathing and incapable of joy are you if the sight of a group of friends enjoying music inspires nothing but hatred and violence? Why are so-called “tradition” and “traditional values” more important than the physical/psychological well-being of those who aren’t part of the dominant culture?
After what has happened in the past few weeks, I think I will have lost all my faith in humanity. Not that I had a lot to begin with.
