The part in Making a Murderer when Brendan asks if the interrogation will be over by 1:29 because he has a project due in class is possibly the most heartbreaking thing I’ve seen in the entire documentary so far. This poor kid. I already have a soft spot for kids at his age because of Schubert, but he seemed so innocent and clueless, and what they did to him was nauseating. How anyone could watch the tapes of the several “confessions” of Brendan Dassey and not see a child being manipulated by the adults they should be able to trust, and not be absolutely sick by it, is beyond me. The whole thing is making me ugly cry. | ||
