With September comes the following:

I can't believe I'm already supposed to fill out application materials while it's not even been 3 weeks since I started this job. I am not even mentally prepared to look at the posts.
Academic job market is the worst, and the deadlines for most poli. sci. tenure-track jobs are within a few days. Ugh.
Let the disappointment begin.
