I am angry, and I am heartbroken, and I am disgusted, and I am embarrassed. This is not freedom. This is not ok. Human beings are detained in airports on this country's soil, questioned, and arrested, for nothing other than trying to come home. Human beings, "representing Islam" are outcasted, and threatened, based on nothing more than fear, ignorance, and arrogance that comes only with such privilege that truth can cease to exist, or matter. In the “Land of the Free”. What hurts even more is that this was signed on the Holocaust Remembrance Day. What the fuck America? What. The. Fuck? Land of the free, home of the brave? Greatest nation in the world? Where is your Congress? Where are your party elites, why isn't anyone speaking about the lack of checks and balances? I see some senator here, other congressman there, but why isn't there a politician organizing something serious against the ban, against the wall? They’re saying that the resistance against Trump’s administration is increasing but will it harness enough political power to call for an impeachment against Trump? We don’t know. Until then, masses of people who ARE for all intents and purposes US citizens, will be told to ‘go back to where they came from’.
I swear my soul has aged for like an entire century since the beginning of this year. I literally feel like there's an old granny living inside of me who just wants warm beverages and understanding from family while spending her days tucked away in bed, without any knowledge of what the hell is happening in the world.
