I am altogether lost for words. Who would have thought that checks and balances would even be questioned in 2017 let alone be refused?
Yet, here we are, we have witnessed the most asinine collection of people (HALF of the population) vote for the collapse of democracy. I don't care what kind of election rigging took place, who manipulated whom exactly, or what percentage of the voters said "yes" -even if it were 1 percent, people said YES to the elimination of legislative branch and control of the judiciary by the executive. How? Why? I literally cannot comprehend how irrational and fucking stupid this voting process is. Not to mention this is just the start of a horrendous tragedy. Ah, I'm in grief.
This is it, I'm building my life here and not looking back. I feel like the bit of land I lived on is made up of a mass of people I don’t know and can’t relate to. I guess they were right when they said, "this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause."
