I typed "t" in the url box and Turnitin came up. Is this a sign of my hardworking weekend or not? My students turn in the final drafts of all of their essays electronically via Turnitin. I comment on them in word while filling out a physical form with issues, successes, what to work on next time, and a grading rubric. I email their papers back to them as a PDF & only after that do they get their grades on Moodle. Commenting in word allows me ample space to really explain why something is a problem instead of just stating there is an issue. It is also nice I be able to track multiple instances of a word/phrase, check formatting, search for possible plagiarism, etc. I love my system, but I really miss seeing that giant stack of graded papers on my desk; it always made me feel accomplished. Now, it is anticlimactic to see an electronic folder of PDFs. The nice thing is I do have to read for my job. I just wish I was reading all the time instead of grading. | ||
