A week-from-hell update:
- R. gave me a book on the Mediterranean anarchy & ancient Roman belligerence, and it's all based on realist IR theories and I am soo excited. I want to drop everything and just read that.
- My presentation hand out for the downtown talk is four pages long & I already hate myself. It’s going to be my second presentation on Egyptian politics in like, two weeks. IDK how that happened.
- My draft for the conference paper is not going great I’m only on page four (but i have four more pages of quotations as well & I still need to prepare a different visual aid for the Florida talk)
- Just uploaded my students’ graded midterm papers for the MidEast class. Scary. The mean is 74 and I never had to grade a big assignment before for them, so they're all freaking out. I feel like a d-bag, but my expectations & feedback were clear. Does this feeling ever go away?
-In the meantime, I received 35 + papers to be graded by next week from my Comparative class. Ugh. *sobs in the corner*
- Looks like I'm still gonna pull an Icarus...
